Supporting local communities is an important part of the Pizza Hut system, and we do so through a variety of efforts, including programs, partnerships, in-kind donations, and volunteer engagement.
Each year, Pizza Hut and its franchise partners receive a high volume of funding and donation requests. While we value every opportunity to support meaningful causes, we are unable to accommodate all requests. The guidelines below are intended to help organizations understand our priorities and request process; however, they do not reflect all considerations, including timing, availability, and resources.
Pizza Hut believes education is key to unlocking a person’s full potential, and that early literacy plays an important role in lifelong success. Since 1984, Pizza Hut has supported childhood reading through the BOOK IT!® Program—helping millions of children build a love of reading and rewarding educational achievement.
In addition to BOOK IT!®, the Pizza Hut Foundation supports education-focused initiatives through scholarships, mentorship, and literacy programs designed to empower students and strengthen communities. The Foundation also provides funding opportunities for public libraries and nonprofit organizations through literacy grants that help expand access to books and educational resources in Pizza Hut communities.
The Pizza Hut Foundation’s mission is to create opportunities that support youth development, educational success, and community impact through literacy and learning-based initiatives.
In addition, Pizza Hut also supports hunger-related initiatives through its Harvest Program, which helps reduce food waste by donating surplus food to people in need in the communities we serve.
If you are a national organization seeking a potential relationship with the Pizza Hut system, or are requesting support for a Dallas-Fort Worth–based organization, please email your request to bookit@pizzahut.com. Include your solicitation letter/request, organization’s exemption letter, and contact information. Email requests will only be considered—mailed letters to the Pizza Hut corporate office will not be evaluated.
Pizza Hut, LLC does not provide community support at the corporate level to any of the following:In addition to PHLLC’s community support, Pizza Hut franchise partners actively support the communities in which they operate. Because needs and opportunities vary by location, please contact your local Pizza Hut with your request. The local restaurant or franchise organization will determine if they are able to provide support. PHLLC does not directly influence or make decisions at the local level.
